Why this exists
AI detectors are accusing people of things they did not do. A researcher writes every word of a paper and gets back a percentage. A writer whose English is their second language gets flagged more often than a native speaker would. Neither is told why, so neither can check the claim, explain it, or fix anything.
Human and AI prose can share stylistic patterns. Even sentence lengths, formal wording and few contractions can appear in either. Our local style index makes these patterns visible; it cannot determine who wrote a passage.
AIExposureTool gives you the reason. It names each signal, shows which of your sentences carry it, and publishes how the score is calculated. When you want a rewrite, it drafts several, keeps the one that measures best, and refuses any draft that changes a figure, a date or a quotation.
What it will not do
- Treat an AI-likelihood estimate or a style index as proof of authorship.
- Sell a tool that fakes a document's typing history.
Who builds it
AIExposureTool is built by Raju Raman — solo, independent, no outside funding. I write the code and answer the support inbox myself, so if something breaks or a score looks wrong, I am the person who reads your email.
The site began in 2026 as a tool for measuring how AI search engines see websites. The blog still carries that earlier work.
